Devilla is extensively trained in classical Egyptian and folkloric styles of Middle Eastern dance, but own style is a blend of classical raks sharki, fusion, a bit of campy fun and a love of drama, costuming, make up and the glamour of Old Hollywood!

DeVilla performs as a soloist, and with her troupe Isis-Siren-Sekhmet, for whom she functions as Artistic director. The group can be seen performing in many shows and restaurants in and around Hollywood. She teaches at Dance Garden studio and can be seen in many shows in Los Angeles and beyond.

Equally at home onstage and behind the scenes, DeVilla  packs a double punch by seamlessly integrating her two full time career – professional make up artist and professional dancer.

Though she has been dancing since the age of six, she has been a sought-after make up artist for film and television for the past twenty years. She was “the face behind the faces” to many of the dancers in the IAMED video series produced by Suzy Evans, and has worked on belly dance instructional videos for Jillina, Zahra Zuhair and many others. DeVilla exclusively designed the make up for the members of Zahra Zuhair’s PoNaNa Dance Company for their highly acclaimed stage show, “Journey In Search Of The Divine”. She also coached the star’ of Jillina’s ” Belly Dance Evolution” stage show on their character looks. DeVilla has been a featured teacher for LA RAQS, and has taught many seminars on make up for stage, including giving a workshop on the subject in June of 2011 at MECDA’S Cairo Caravan, where she was a featured dancer in their Gala show, and was also a featured teacher at MECDA’S first ever Pro Dance Conference And Retreat last October; and she will re-appear at both MECDA events, teaching and performing in 2012.

DeVilla says,

“I LOVE teaching Make Up to my fellow dancers, it gives me great joy to share what I know, so we all look FABULOUS!”

You can also see Devilla’s work in the new Batman movie, set for release in summer 2012. Some of her other film credits include Lovelace, starring Sarah- Jessica Parker and Amanda Seyfred (2012) the critically acclaimed 500 Days of Summer, Iron Man 2, Takers, Angels and Demons, and the soon to be released “Get a Job” starring Brian Cranston.  Additionally, she was make up department head for TNT’s series, Men Of A Certain Age.

Her most recent project is the instructional stage make up Double disc DVD set Bombshell: Dramatic Make Up For The Stage, Photos & Glamourous Occasions, (released in Spring, 2012) co-starring and co- produced by Princess Farhana.
