Junk parlor is a gypsy junk rock band born from the mind and musical wanderings of Jason Vanderford. Sounds of rock, underlying gypsy jazz rhythms and a 50's tinge create a familiar yet twisted up sound that steers you off the beaten path. Vanderford has a throaty howling voice that ranges from a cool low croon to an all out bawl, alluding to tales of fantastical love, late night betrayal and wily satisfaction.

Vanderford leads the band with his beckoning vocals, acoustic banjo and rhythm guitar alongside Jimmy Grant's Django infused lead electric guitar.  Backed by an uncompromising beat from drummer and cajón player Rt Goodrich and the growling electric fretless bass of Tim Bush, Junk Parlor is a dreamscape junkyard of sounds based out of San Francisco, California. Their debut album "Wild Tones" was released October 2013 and they recently completed their first Pacific Northwest tour.
Junk Parlor's members have played the gamut of festivals and prestigious venues including Outside Lands, Kate Wolfe Fest, Djangofest, Gaia Fest and SXSW to name a few. Jason Vanderford has played, recorded and toured with the Americano Social Club, The Hot Club of San Francisco, Clint Bakers New Orleans Jazz Band, Little Charlie's Caravan, Avatar Ensemble and Seth Ford Young Quartet. Jimmy has lead the Jimmy Grant Ensemble and accompanied George Cole, Gonzalo Bergara and Tim Kliphuis.  Rt Goodrich has laid down rhythms and toured with Staggerwing, Beso Negro and Standing Room Only. Tim Bush has played extensively with Danny Montana, Sweetie Pie and the Doughboys, Chuck Day, Sam Andrew, Jim Martin, and Freddie Roulette.
